Perpetual futures used to mean: open a DEX in a browser, bridge, connect a wallet, hope. In under a year, Aster and Hyperliquid both landed inside Trust Wallet, and a chain of partnerships (Binance Wallet, SafePal, Aster Code, builder codes, HIP-3, Ledger, Coinbase) is turning perp DEXs into a default feature of the wallet you already use. Short thread, facts only.

Trust Wallet × Aster: perps inside the wallet (October 2025)

Hyperliquid's distribution play: builder codes, HIP-3, Ledger, Coinbase

USDC on Hyperliquid roughly doubled year-over-year to about $5B, with reserve yield flowing back to the protocol. Even JPMorgan wrote it up. The stablecoin rail went institutional.
Why it matters, and what a wallet still doesn't do
OX-ENGINE@oxengine_official14/16The friction is gone. Perps went from "browser, bridge, connect, sign" to Trade → Perps. More retail flow means deeper books, tighter spreads and more funding-rate dislocations on both venues, exactly the kind of inefficiency an automated strategy feeds on.

FAQ
Can I trade Hyperliquid or Aster perps directly in Trust Wallet?
Yes, where available. Open Trade → Perps. Aster perps have been live since late October 2025 (100+ markets, up to 100x at launch); Hyperliquid since April 29, 2026 (200+ markets including commodities and equities). You stay self-custodial. Not available in the US, UK, Canada and most of the EU.
Is perp trading inside a wallet really non-custodial?
Yes: the position is opened from your own address and you keep the keys. Non-custodial does not mean low-risk. Leverage, funding and liquidation work exactly as on the DEX itself.
What are Aster Code and Hyperliquid builder codes?
Both let third-party apps plug a perp DEX in. Aster Code is Aster's modular infrastructure for wallets and terminals (first batch: Binance Wallet, Trust Wallet, SafePal and seven others). Hyperliquid builder codes let any app route orders to Hyperliquid and earn a share of the fees, the mechanism behind Phantom, MetaMask, Trust Wallet and Ledger.
Can a bot automate the perps I access through Trust Wallet?
Not through the wallet UI.
