Hyperliquid Trading Bot: Automating Your Strategy on Hyperliquid

What is Hyperliquid?
Hyperliquid is a high-performance perpetuals DEX built on its own chain, with a fully on-chain central limit order book (CLOB). It's known for deep liquidity, fast finality, and a first-class developer API (REST + WebSocket) — closer to the feel of a centralized venue than a typical AMM, while staying self-custodial.
Why it's a natural fit (verdict)
Hyperliquid supports agent / API wallets that can sign trades for your account but cannot withdraw. That's exactly the trade-only model OX-ENGINE already uses on Aster — which makes Hyperliquid one of the cleanest integrations we can target.
The same principle from our pillar guide applies directly: delegate a key that trades, never one that withdraws. Hyperliquid's design hands us that primitive natively.
How connection would work
The intended flow mirrors the Aster experience — guided, inside Telegram:
- Approve an agent walletYou'd authorize an OX-ENGINE agent/API wallet on Hyperliquid, scoped to trading only.
- Keep withdrawals with your master accountThe agent can place and manage orders; only your master account can withdraw, and withdrawals can be routed to your own address.
- Configure money managementPosition sizing, leverage and the same protective-stop suite (stop-loss, break-even, liquidation protection).
- Run & revoke freelyStart the strategy, monitor from the app, and revoke the agent anytime.
Security we'd apply
Our rule doesn't change across venues: the bot can trade, but the fund owner is the only party who can withdraw. On Hyperliquid we'd lean on its native agent-wallet permissions, keep the trade-only scope tight, and verify the configuration before any strategy can go live — the same pre-flight check we run on Aster.

- Order-book liquidity — a true CLOB means tighter spreads and cleaner fills than a typical AMM.
- Low-friction execution — signed actions and fast finality suit an always-on bot.
- First-class API — a mature REST/WebSocket interface makes reliable automation realistic.
- Self-custody preserved — agent wallets give CEX-like automation without surrendering custody.
Challenges & open questions
- Different signing scheme — Hyperliquid's action-signing differs from Aster's; we'd port and test it carefully against the official spec before trusting it with orders.
- Risk-engine specifics — margin, funding and liquidation mechanics differ per venue; our protective stops must be calibrated to Hyperliquid's exact rules.
- Rate limits & reliability — an always-on bot needs robust reconnection and back-off handling on the API.
- Symbol & precision mapping — each market's tick/size precision must be handled exactly, never guessed.
None of these are blockers — they're engineering work. The custody model, the hard part for trust, is already favorable.
Roadmap
