Aster Trading Bot: How to Automate Trading on Aster DEX (Non-Custodial)
Aster is the first decentralized exchange OX-ENGINE connects to — and it's live today. This guide shows exactly how to automate your strategy on Aster perpetuals while keeping full custody: the bot trades for you, but only you can ever withdraw.
New here? Open a free Aster account and deposit USDT on the futures wallet — that's all the bot needs to start.
What is Aster DEX?
Aster is a decentralized exchange for perpetual futures running on BNB Smart Chain (BSC). Like any DEX, it's self-custodial: your collateral stays tied to your own wallet/account rather than sitting with a centralized company. That makes it a perfect home for a bot that automates trading without taking custody of your money.
Why automate on Aster
- 24/7 execution — your strategy runs while you sleep; no missed signals.
- Discipline — rules execute exactly as defined, with no emotional override.
- Self-custody — you get CEX-style automation without giving a company your coins.
- Built-in risk tools — stop-loss, break-even and liquidation protection placed automatically.
The non-custodial model on Aster
Aster lets you authorize a separate signer wallet (sometimes called an agent or API wallet) to act on your account. The key detail is the permission set you grant it:
When you authorize OX-ENGINE's signer on Aster, the onboarding forces trade permission ON and withdrawals OFF. The signer can open and close perpetual positions, but it is cryptographically unable to withdraw or move your funds. Withdrawals remain reserved to your main wallet — the fund owner.
In practice this means even in a worst-case scenario, the bot's reach is limited to trading your futures balance on your own account. It can never send your assets anywhere. That's the whole point of a non-custodial design.
How to connect — step by step
The whole flow happens inside Telegram, in a guided onboarding. No spreadsheets, no code.
- Open the botOpen @oxengine_trading_bot on Telegram and tap
Start, then request access. - Launch the mini-appOpen the OX-ENGINE WebApp right inside Telegram — your whole dashboard lives there (chart, positions, stats, settings).
- Create or import your signer walletThe onboarding can generate a fresh signer wallet for you, or let you import one. This wallet only ever signs trades.
- Authorize the signer on Aster (trade-only)Approve the agent on Aster with trade enabled and withdrawals disabled. The bot verifies the permissions are correct before letting you go live.
- Set your money managementChoose position sizing (fixed amount or % of balance), leverage, and your protective stops — stop-loss, multi-step break-even, liquidation protection.
- Go liveStart the engine. From now on, when your strategy triggers, the bot executes on Aster automatically — and notifies you on Telegram.
Security: what the bot can and can't do
The withdrawal switch stays off, permanently, on the signer. You keep your main wallet and can withdraw or revoke access at any time. We also keep the signer scoped to perpetual trading only — least privilege, by default.
Non-custodial protects your custody, not your P&L. Trading perpetuals with leverage is risky and can lose money. OX-ENGINE gives you tools to manage that risk — it never promises profit, and nothing here is financial advice.
What you can automate
On Aster, OX-ENGINE is a full toolkit, not just an order button:
- Strategy signals — a non-repainting signal engine watches the market and trades 24/7.
- Money management — fixed or percentage sizing, leverage, risk per trade.
- Protective stops — stop-loss pre-placed on Aster the instant a position opens, multi-step break-even that locks in gains, and liquidation protection.
- Backtesting — simulate your signals and risk rules on historical candles before going live.
- Macro dashboard — BTC trend, Fear & Greed and the economic calendar in one place.
